HYPNOSIS/HYPNOTHERAPY
Clinical hypnosis with strategic psychotherapy
People have experienced the benefits of hypnosis for hundreds of years. Hypnosis can help you with lessening anxiety, to stop smoking, to get a better nights sleep, and to reduce overall stress. Other familiar applications are to confront fears and phobias, increase self confidence, to build self esteem and to build more comfort in relating to others. Hypnosis can help students focus more, decrease test anxiety and allow you to to retain more information by having a calm and relaxed mindset.
All hypnosis is self hypnosis. Hypnosis is not harmful and or dangerous in any way. Quite the contrary. The client is in control and in charge the entire time. No one can be forced to do something against their will and or value system. If you are ever uncomfortable, all you do is gently open your eyes.
I used hypnosis myself during the birth of my second son. After experiencing endless and painful hours of labor during my first pregnancy, I was determined to have a better experience in the labor room the second time around. I was able to practice self hypnosis to control the pain for hours during labor. I took less medication for pain, was more present and less foggy during the second birth, and I believe the overall experience allowed me to heal faster. and to be calmer and happier with my new born baby boy.
Hypnotherapy can assist an individual on interrupting negative patterns or destructive behavior. The process will help you distance yourself from negative thoughts so you are no longer controlled by them, and are able to respond to negative thinking in a healthier way. We will work together to create a sense of safety and calm to approach change in a more confident, calm and proactive way.
